Working Remotely
McKim & Creed provides two different methods to connect to network resources from outside the office: GlobalProtect. These should only ever be used when you are not in a McKim & Creed office. GlobalProtect will attempt to connect automatically as soon as your McKim & Creed computer is connected to the Internet outside of one of our offices.
To Connect to GlobalProtect
1. In general, the McKim & Creed Virtual Private Network (VPN) will automatically connect after sign on. Occasionally, it will request login information in the bottom right corner of the desktop.
2. To check the VPN status, select the caret (^) in the bottom right corner of the desktop.
3. Select the blue globe with a small shield icon.
4. If authentication is required, please sign in with your username and McKim & Creed password:
5. If you are authenticated, but the device is disconnected, the following message will appear:
6. To start the reconnection process, click “connect.”
7. The VPN should automatically connect without requesting a login to the best available VPN and share the following message:
8. If a login is requested, use the same McKim & Creed password and credentials that were used to unlock the computer.
9. If you do not see the Global Protect client, please submit an IT Help Desk Ticket through the Help Desk website OR email support@mckimcreed.com, so that IT can assist.
