Android Company Portal Install
This tutorial walks you through installing the Microsoft Intune Company Portal app on your Android device and using it to access company apps like McKim & Creed Field Log.
Prerequisites
- An Android device (phone or tablet)
- Your McKim and Creed email address and password
- Internet connection
Step 1: Install the Intune Company Portal from Google Play Store
Open the Google Play Store on your Android device and search for "company portal". Look for the Intune Company Portal app published by Microsoft Corporation.
Tap Install to download and install the app. Once installation is complete, you'll see the Open button become available.
Step 2: Open the Company Portal App
Tap the Open button to launch the Company Portal app.
Step 3: Sign In with Your McKim and Creed Account
When the app opens, you'll be prompted to sign in. Use your McKim and Creed email address to sign in. This ensures your device is registered under the company's management.
Note: You may be asked to allow notifications. This is optional and not required for the app to function.
Step 4: Accept Work Profile Permissions
After signing in, the Company Portal will display a "What's next?" screen explaining the setup process:
- OK work profile permissions - Your Android device needs this permission to allow your company to manage the work profile on your device.
- Encrypt your device - You need to encrypt your device before the work profile can be set up. This protects your data if the device is lost or stolen.
Tap NEXT to proceed with the setup.
Step 5: Complete Device Encryption
The app will guide you through encrypting your device. You'll need to enter your device password to confirm. This process may take a couple of minutes to complete.
Once encryption is finished, tap Accept and Continue when prompted, then Next to proceed through any additional setup screens. You may need to enter your password again.
Step 6: Access the Company Portal Dashboard
After setup is complete, you'll see the Company Portal dashboard with your device listed under the DEVICES tab. Your device will be registered for work use.
You may see a prompt to open the work version of Google Play to get apps suggested by McKim and Creed. Tap OPEN to access the work Play Store, or DISMISS if you want to browse later.
Step 7: Navigate to Get Apps
To find company apps, tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner of the app. Then select Get Apps to open the work version of the Google Play Store.
Step 8: Install McKim & Creed Field Log
In the work Play Store, search for McKim & Creed Field Log. This is a private company app available only through your work profile.
Tap Install to download the app. Once installed, tap Open to launch it.
Step 9: Sign In to Field Log
When you open the Field Log app, sign in with your McKim and Creed account.
Tip: If you're already signed into other Microsoft apps (like Outlook or Teams), the app may automatically recognize your account. In that case, simply tap your account name to sign in without entering your password again.
